For a quick and brief summary of the N.O.W. history, it was founded by 28 women who were inspired by the failure of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission to enforce Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The very first president and leader to lead this organization was Betty Frieden, from 1966 until 1970. The current president of N.O.W. organization is Terry O’Neill. Below is a short video of her interview with FOX Sports Live in regards to the Ray Rice situation.
Today is the seventh anniversary of THE KING OF POP’s death. This was definitely a huge shock to the world when this happened, and basically the whole world showed their gratitude and love when the dance of THRILLER was demonstrated. That was an awesome and cool sight. Here are some of my favorites with Michael that I listen too all the time!
This awesome picture, which is one of my best photos of my wife, was taken back during the winter season of 2007 in Ellicott City, Maryland. When I took this photo of her helping me clean my car off, I had no idea that this particular photograph would get the attention that it got. At my previous agency, before things went to hell, I had this photo as my background whenever I would sign into the computer to check emails and do reports. Some of my coworkers when they first viewed the picture thought that she was holding a rifle or some type of long gun. Yeah, I don’t think that would’ve went over well with other people in the apartment complex seeing me taking a picture of my wife holding a rifle or shotgun and just CHEESING ear to ear! Lol! However, the jokes didn’t stop there, but it was all in good fun! A great group of guys I worked with and probably the tighter bunch of guys I’ve ever worked with.
Not only was this picture a platform for messing with me, but this particular photo was in the running to be on a cover of a reputable magazine!! I wish I could remember the name of the magazine at this moment, but it was one that we all know and have seen in our homes. They wanted to use this picture for their winter catalog of 2007/2008, but unfortunately she wasn’t chosen. We would’ve gotten paid, obviously, for this picture and probably our life going in a different direction. Only God knows for sure where our life could’ve gone if she was picked for a catalog cover; it might’ve gone very bad, not changed at all or in a different direction that we didn’t think about. Although we didn’t make the cut, it gave me some encouragement that I have the potential to snap great photographs that can be desirable by others.
I certainly have no desire to pursue a photography career, but this goes to show you that one picture you take can change things in an instant.
This was my very first time finding one of these four-leaf clovers! I thought and began to think that I wasn’t as lucky or it only grew in certain parts of the country. Hell, I even thought at one point people were making it up that they found one. Then finally one day before we ended up cutting the grass, my wife looked down and saw this one four-leaf clover standing in the midst of hundreds of other three-leaf clovers. I was excited to actually know that I am now in the possession of one thing that eluded me all these years. I can’t say that our lives changed in an instant after we found it, but things have looked up and gotten us on the right path.
We moved into our own apartment just minutes away from downtown Albany, got a new job working in the Green Mountain region, we both got new used vehicles and free from others having their claim on what we have. Not saying that we didn’t have our share of ups and downs, but we continue to be blessed on our journey! Even as of now, in our current situation, things continue to look up and by the time you read this another situation in our life might’ve changed. As things increase in blessings for us we will share with you to have you celebrate our victories! As of now our life hasn’t immediately changed for the better since discovering this rarity, but we are only two years removed from its find.
Anyone else ever discover a Four-Leaf Clover? When and Where?
